The Severn class lifeboat is the largest lifeboat in the RNLI fleet. As an all-weather lifeboat, the Severn can take on the worst sea conditions and comes into its own on long offshore searches and rescues. With a top speed of 25 knots and a range of 250 nautical miles, the Severn can reach casualties fast in calm or rough seas. 

Whether you love lifeboats or are looking for a fun way to get crafty, this kit will help you build a detailed model of the Severn class lifeboat. You can also use the decal sheet to transform your model into any of the current Severn class lifeboats on service at RNLI lifeboat stations. 

If you’ve already had a go at building the Airfix Shannon lifeboat model, the Severn is a great one to try next!
