Born from a shared love and respect for the sea, our collaboration with Finisterre draws inspiration from British seafaring heritage and the hardiness of the human spirit.
The RNLI Polperro Jumper is a quintessentially British fisherman knit, inspired by traditional Gansey Jumpers made on Cornwall’s South Coast.
A true heritage inspired piece, these were traditionally knitted by fishermen's wives to keep them warm at sea. Hard-wearing and tightly knitted to resist sea spray and wind, the patterns represent waves, ropes and ladders, telling stories handed down through generations. In a relaxed fit this jumper is a wardrobe staple for everyday adventures.
