Add a nautical theme to your cook wear with our Watson Blueprint Apron in White.
This printed cotton apron boasts a print of a lifeboat blueprint first created by naval architect George Lennox Watson, whose designs produced 171 RNLI lifeboats, saving thousands of lives.
Featuring an adjustable neck strap and woven tapes that tie around the waist, our RNLI lifeboat apron looks decidedly classy and matches the other kitchen and dinner-themed items available in our Watson range, including napkins, towels and oven gloves.
This Watson Blueprint apron is also available in blue.
About the Watson Blueprint collection
This collection is inspired by the 47ft Watson class lifeboat blueprint, from the RNLI Heritage archive. George Lennox Watson became chief consulting Naval Architect to the RNLI in 1887, and in 1888 had built the first of the Watson class hulls that bore his name. Watson's boats were renowned for their seaworthiness and as such over the course of some 76 years, 171 boats were built. In total there were 11 lengths of boat in 8 separate classes, from pulling and sailing lifeboats to motor lifeboats, which were introduced in 1908. The drawing that inspired this collection was for the Joseph Soar, built in 1962 and placed on service at St Davids, transferred to Dunbar, and later Shoreham Harbour (1988-'90), before being decommissioned in 1992. Throughout her life she saved 135 lives.
